Why Avant Guard Formula 1051 Is Better Than PPF
1. Thickness & Gloss
Builds real film thickness on your paint system while enhancing optical clarity. The gloss is deeper and more natural than the “plastic sheen” of PPF.
Adds a polyurethane film that can sometimes mute color depth or create an “orange peel” texture.
Advantage: Formula 1051 delivers richer gloss and color saturation.
2. Correctability
If micro-scratches or light oxidation appear, a simple polish restores clarity without compromising the coating.
Once scratched or yellowed, film typically requires replacement of that section — costly and labor-intensive.
Advantage: Formula 1051 can be rejuvenated instead of replaced.
3. Longevity & Durability
Resistant to UV, chemicals, bird droppings, bug splatter, water spots, tunnel washes, and environmental fallout. Properly maintained, it lasts for years without peeling.
While durable against chips, PPF is prone to discoloration, edge lifting, and degradation over time (especially with sun, harsh climates, or improper care).
Advantage: Formula 1051 offers stable, consistent protection without film edges or yellowing.
4. Seamless Coverage
Applied as a liquid, it cures seamlessly across every contour — no seams, no lines, no edges. Perfect for complex bodywork or curved surfaces.
Pre-cut or bulk film must be stretched and trimmed, often leaving visible edges, seams, or lifting points.
Advantage: Formula 1051 delivers a flawless, invisible finish.
